inspired by classic stories of fiction and fable, owen began his path to design by drawing anything that piqued his interest. raised in an environment that promoted creativity, he was introduced to vintage art and photography through dated versions of britannica encyclopedias.

his current design aesthetic borrows heavily from 1960s and 70s fashion and interior design. garments that emulate power and confidence through details such as shape, structure, prints, and loud colors energize his imagination.

 

owen holds a b.s in fashion design from drexel university. as a freshman he had a fictional literary worked published in the emerging michigan poets book. as a sophomore he had an experimental and tailoring piece walk the 2019 drexel university senior fashion show. as a junior he won first place in the 2019 komar brands lingerie competition. as a senior he won the boyd's best in sportswear award.
